Help build the tools that get people outside.
A small team building thump! for people who want to keep playing — and the cities that could use more of it. If that's the kind of work you'd want to do, keep reading.

Built for people who want to keep playing.
Most adults play less than they want to. The reasons are mundane — schedules don't line up, group chats fall apart, courts are full or empty at the wrong time. The cost is real: less movement, fewer friends, weaker neighborhoods.
thump! is a bet that the right tools — quiet host controls, a smart feed, a trust system that rewards showing up — can make local games dramatically easier to find and run. That's worth a decade.
How we work.
Craft over speed.
We move quickly, but never at the expense of how the product feels. Details matter — the rounded corner, the loading state, the empty screen on a Monday morning. If it doesn't feel right, it doesn't ship.
Offline first.
Our software exists to facilitate offline gathering. If a feature would keep someone in the app when they could be at a court, we don't build it. The right outcome is always: phone in pocket, cleats on.
Play the game.
We use what we build, in the cities we live in. Every person on the team hosts or joins games on thump! The best ideas come from being on the field, not from a roadmap doc.
Quiet trust.
We treat reputation, ratings, and BPM with care. No public scoreboards. No shame mechanics. The point is a calmer, more reliable community — not gamification.
How we hire.
We hire slowly and say no often — but the people we say yes to, we trust deeply. The process is two real conversations and a paid take-home (or a paired session) that mirrors the actual work.
We care more about how you think than what you've shipped. We pay competitively, share equity meaningfully, and protect heads-down time. We want teammates who'd rather get one thing exactly right than ten things mostly right.
What you get.
Every full-time hire gets equity that moves with the company. We explain it clearly before you sign.
Premiums fully covered for you and your dependents from day one.
Four weeks of PTO we genuinely want you to take, plus a company-wide week off in December.
Set up your space the way you actually work — chair, monitor, the works.
We gather every quarter. Usually with a pickup game or two on the schedule.
A monthly credit toward gear, court fees, or league dues — anything that helps you play more.
